Ham and Cheese Quiche Lorraine
Ingredients
- 10 oz. Ham finely chopped
- 10 oz. Cheese shredded
- 3 cups Liquid eggs
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 1½ tsp Ground black pepper
- Baking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Take about 10 oz. of ham, and dice into 1-inch cubes.10 oz. Ham
- Coat the muffin pan with baking spray.Baking spray
- Line the bottom of the pan with diced ham and grated cheese.10 oz. Cheese, 10 oz. Ham
- Beat eggs, then add salt and ground black pepper to taste.3 cups Liquid eggs, 1½ tsp Salt, 1½ tsp Ground black pepper
- Pour into shells over ham and cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until custard is set and golden on top.
- Let cool before slicing.

This dish originates many centuries ago — some sources say in the 14th century, while others say in the 16th century. It was created by farmers in Eastern France, (Lorraine) which is next to Germany, and it naturally utilizes the basic ingredients that peasants had on their farms.
